Give a journey through the flavors of Sardinia via its wines and local specialties: a private tasting with a sommelier in the heart of Cagliari, designed to discover the area while, at the same time, learning how to taste and pair wine and food.

An ideal experience for wine lovers, for those who want to know it better, or simply for anyone who wants to enjoy an aperitif different from the usual, among flavors, stories, and food-and-wine culture.

In a venue in central Cagliari, just a short walk from the main shopping streets, we will taste together 3 wines made from some of Sardinia’s most representative grape varieties.

The selection may include, for example, a Cannonau from its historic production area, a Vermentino di Gallura, or a Carignano del Sulcis: different wines through which to discover the extraordinary variety of the island’s wine heritage.

The wines will be paired with a selection of typical Sardinian products, including cheeses – such as Pecorino Sardo – traditional cured meats, such as mustela, and bread.

During the tasting I will talk about the wines’ areas of origin, the grape varieties, their main characteristics, and the stories of the people who produce them.

But it won’t be just a sample.

Through a real guided tasting, we will learn to observe the wine, recognize its aromas and features, and better understand the sensations on the palate.

We will also dedicate part of the experience to the basic principles of food-and-wine pairing, to understand how the characteristics of a dish and those of a wine can meet and balance each other.

The entire experience is private and reserved exclusively for the Gift Card recipients: no other guests will be present.

The selection of wines and tasting products may vary depending on availability and seasonality.

The personalized Gift Card will be sent by e-mail to the address provided during purchase.

The date and time of the experience can be arranged later. Recipients can contact Le Strade del Gusto to check availability and book the tasting at least 3 days in advance.

The Gift Card:

is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase;

is issued to a named person and can be used only by the people indicated on the Gift Card;

cannot be transferred to other people;

is non-refundable;

is valid for 2 people;

must be used within the validity period;

the date and time of the experience are subject to availability.
